Ultimate Packaging have printed the new brand ‘Annabel’s Deliciously British Strawberries’ that have been launched by Makins.
Makins specialise in growing, packing and distribution of the finest Yorkshire strawberries into retailers and restaurants. Recently they have decided to launch their very own brand ‘Annabel’s Deliciously British Strawberries’, where they have used pulp trays as part of their packaging.
The pulp trays are a great sustainable option, the trays are made from wood pulp that have been sourced by FSC approved sustainable forests, and are home compostable. This offers a reduction in plastic of more than 50% compared to the average strawberry punnet.
“Even when Annabel’s Deliciously British was still in concept stage I knew that the packaging was key to the project. Finding a high quality punnet that sat in line with our sustainability values has been hugely important in moving the brand forward and has been very well received by customers,” said Annabel Makin, Operations Manager at Makins.
These premium strawberries have been carefully selected and have been launched into Ocado and Booths, offering consumers high quality fresh produce in packaging that is better for the environment.
